James A. Hertz
James A. Hertz joined Friedman | Rubin in 2001 and has
served as it's Managing Partner since 2007.
A native of South Dakota, Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University
of South Dakota in 1983. He attended the University of South Dakota School of Law and received his J.D.
degree in 1985.Jim Hertz's prior experience includes 15
years of litigation in South Dakota where his
practice included civil trials and appeals in matters
involving intellectual property, business torts, insurance
and personal injury law.
At Friedman | Rubin, Jim has been focused on insurance
bad faith litigation. As Managing Partner, he has
driven the firm's ability to engage in a nationwide civil
practice through technology and joint venture relationships.
Jim has
promoted a consensus driven planning process and responsive
client and co-counsel communications.
Jim Hertz is licensed to practice law in Washington and
South Dakota. He is a member of American Association for
Justice (AAJ), Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ),
and the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association (SDTLA). He is admitted to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 8th
Circuit in St. Louis and the 9th Circuit in San Francisco. He has also been admitted
pro hac vice in
various courts across the United States. |
